A school built around you

We believe that families are at the center of the educational experience

Sora isn't just built for students—it's built for parents too.

We recognize that the location, calendar, and schedule constraints of traditional schools no longer fit the busy lifestyle of families in 2023.

The Sora program

It is grounded in real-world experience, and this partnership starts with the family. Parents and students work in partnership with Sora faculty to identify learning and graduation goals and build a customized program of study. Parents and students also meet with advisors to select learning experiences and design independent study options.

Just as student voice and choice are important at Sora, so too is parent partnership. From roadmap club, where parents co-design the future of school, to in-person family meetups, our families can be deeply engaged in the life of our community as true partners.

Wherever you go, Sora is there.

Sora has created an environment that balances challenge and support, and the sense of community is stronger than any school we’ve been a part of.

Empowering Our Daughter's Passion for Art

Since transitioning to Sora, Grace has been able to incorporate her passion for art into all of her classes. Sora gave Grace the tools to think outside of the box and integrate her gifts & skills into her schoolwork, putting her energy and heart into every project, while building confidence along the way.
